The glass at the glass auction is awesome, my guess is it will be very pricey. I put in a bid for $50 for the Chihuly but his stuff sells in the thousands

Just caught wind of a glass art auction from Dave’s school, pilchuck, going on in seattle - Oct 30th, 10 pm E/9pm C

They said it will be broadcast live via auctionnetwork.com, along with a tool that lets Internet viewers to bid remotely against the floor. -- nice for me, cause I’m out of state!

Dear Marion,

Stunning picture of Chihuly. I also visited de Young to see this exhibition. My own posting is due most soon and I am keen to share.

I recently spent two weeks in SF and was mesmerized by the arts scene. My thoughts on the San Francisco Art Institute, de Young Museum, Mission District Murals, and Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts follow at:

Chihuly does amazing things with glass. I had the good fortune to be able to shoot his exhibit "Glass In The Garden" at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and it was one of the most amazing exhibits I've seen. His forms at once alien and wonderfully organic, they were the ornament for a beautiful garden.

Great Leapin' Lizard's, that is a cool site. (Poor bug). I was at the Howard Street location a year or so ago, and couldn't escape the feeling that their best stuff was in the basement waiting for the new place to open. It's going to be a good one.
BTW, the next time you see your friend John, could you ask him to drop by during off-hours some time? Some of us working stiffs would like to meet him too.
